Miami Heat's 10-game winning streak ends against the Pistons

The Detroit Pistons provided an upset in the NBA last night as they ended Miami Heat's 10-game winning streak, beating them 107-97.

Coming off the back of a string of impressive victories dating back to their 118-95 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on November 12, Heat fans would have been hopeful that LeBron James and co. would do the business in Detroit.

The Pistons themselves have experienced mixed results this campaign, with their current record standing at 8-10, but they managed to pull of something of a shock yesterday on home turf.

Detroit's Kyle Singler netted 18 points during the game- one of seven Pistons players to do so- and despite a late rally from the reigning NBA champs in the fourth which saw them claw it back within three points, the home-side looked relatively comfortable in their victory.

LeBron James was once again the stand-out performer for Miami, netting 23 points, but the absence of guard Dwayne Wayde- who is out with a knee problem- was a notable disadvantage for the team.

The Heat stars accepted that on the day they weren't the better team, with James stating: "It's a miss or make league at times. They made. We missed."

Miami shot a season-low 44 percent in the game but will be looking to bounce back against the Chicago Bulls tomorrow night.
