Dimitar Berbatov's agent has confirmed that the prolific striker is not happy at Craven Cottage and is keen to move.

Emil Dantchev has spoken rather bluntly about the former Manchester United man's desire to call it quits on his time in London.

"I don't usually speculate as nobody knows what will happen in January but what I can tell you is he (Berbatov) is not happy at Fulham. He would like, if possible, to find another option." he told the Press Association in an interview that was quoted by The Independent.

Despite being tagged as a somewgar lazy footballer, Berbatov will surely receive a lot of interest from a number of big European clubs. The player’s contract ends next summer and Fulham would presumably be willing to sell him in the new year in order to get some compensation for his exit.

Turkish side Trabzonspor recently confirmed their interest in the Bulgarian. Quite remarkably, La Liga giants Barcelona have also reportedly targeted the 32-year-old.

Gerardo Martino is rumoured to be looking for an out-and-out striker without needing to spend too heavily.

After scoring 15 goals in his first season with Fulham, Berbatov has slumped back towards the disillusioned player who left defending champions Manchester United in 2012. He has found the back of the net just twice this seasons and does not look interested in helping the Cottagers in their battle against relegation.

Although Berbatov is a fantastic player when he decides to pick up his feet, his graceful technique and eye for the spectacular doesn't outweigh his lack of effort, a trait emphasised in struggling lower order teams.

Barcelona may be linked with his signature, but this move is highly unlikely as Berbatov hasn't worked hard enough to display the necessary form or consistency.
