The Los Angeles Clippers let a win slip away when they fell to a 105-100 defeat to the formidable Indiana Pacers at the weekend. They are now embarking upon a seven-game road trip starting at Atlanta. Although no such journey is easy, the Clippers could earn some crucial road wins since none of the teams they face are currently over .500.
The Clippers will look to return to winning ways against a Hawks side who have lost five of six but won the previous match-up with the Clippers 104-93 in November 2012.
After facing the Hawks, the Clippers face the Grizzlies, Cavaliers, 76ers, Celtics, Nets and Wizards before finally returning to Staples Center.
Mike Budenholzer's Hawks return home after losing 108-101 at Washington on Saturday and 102-100 at the Western Conference-leading San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
Clippers shooting guard J.J. Redick suffered a broken bone in his shooting hand and a ligament tear in his right elbow recently and is expected to be sidelined for up to two months with the injury. Willie Green started in his place on Sunday and looks to be in line to do so again.
The Hawks may be confident of coming away with the win on Wednesday night, having won four straight games at home against the Clippers.
