The second goal game in the 47th minute after some tidy play by Arsenal saw left back Nacho Monreal link up well with £42million midfielder Mesut Özil who in turn gave the ball to the man of the moment, Aaron Ramsey.
The Welshman then played a fantastic ball into the box to find the run of Özil, who placed the ball beautifully into the net to seal the game for the Gunners.
In truth Arsenal dominated the game from start to finish. Hull midfielder Jake Livermore had a rare shot on target for Hull but fired the ball straight at Wojciech Szczesny, who wasn't tested much throughout the game from Hull.
Arsene Wenger, decided to rest five key players ahead of the Hull clash, with Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Mikel Arteta, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud being put on the substitute bench for the game. Wilshere, Arteta and Walcott being brought on as subs.
