9. Carlos Tevez
At first glance, the tremendous form of compatriot Sergio Aguero and new recruit Alvaro Negredo suggests that Manchester City do not miss the presence of Argentine striker Tevez.
The 29-year-old, who previously represented both Manchester United and West Ham, joined Italian champions Juventus in June and has notched seven goals in 14 Serie A games so far this season.
While City have not been short on goals at home, away from the Etihad Stadium - Wednesday night's win over West Brom a notable exception - Manuel Pellegrini's men have been rather sheepish.
If they still had Tevez as an extra option either to start or bring off the bench, you have to think that they would have the firepower required to stand a better chance of avoiding such unnecessary loss of vital points.
