Tyler Bozak out for an extended period

Toronto Maple Leafs star Tyler Bozak is back on the sidelines after another injury setback, reports cbssports

Bozak recently missed a month of action after suffering with a hamstring injury, however he pulled up after just 2:49 in the Leafs' 4-2 defeat to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night and now the 27-year-old faces an extended period on the sidelines.

Leafs coach Randy Carlyle had recently revealed that the star suffered an oblique strain and there seems no set date for his return.

This latest injury setback for Bozak comes at terrible timing for the Leafs as they are struggling with their center depth due to the injury to Dave Bolland.

Bozak will now be replaced by Nazem Kadri as the Leafs prepare to take on the Dallas Stars on Friday.

The Leafs will be desperate to get back to winning ways after three straight defeats in the Air Canada Center.
