UFC light-heavyweight king Jon Jones has a new date for his rescheduled title defence against Brazilian brawler Glover Teixeira, which will now headline a show in Dallas next March.
Jones has twice been forced to shift his clash with Teixeira due to niggling injuries, but will definitely be back in the Octagon to top the UFC 171 bill at the Dallas' American Airlines Center.
Teixeira's wait to get his hands on 'Bones' will be over on Saturday March 15, as he looks to extend an unbeaten record in the Octagon to get his hands on UFC gold.
The Chuck Liddell prodigy will come against formidable opposition though, with Jones enjoying a flawless reign as champion which includes stoppage wins over Shogun Rua, Lyoto Machida, Vitor Belfort and Chael Sonnen.
Alexander Gustafsson pushed Jones to the limit in his last bout to give Teixeira added confidence, with the pair enduring a five-round epic that had pundits split and the Swede relishing the prospect of a rematch.
London calls though before Gustafsson can consider the prospect of taking part in another epic encounter for the belt, with Jimi Manuwa standing in his way one week earlier on March 8.
