Manchester United left-back Tyler Blackett will stay at Bloomfield Road until the beginning of January, reports Sky Sports.
The 19-year-old, who joined Blackpool at the start of November, has featured in three Championship games for the Tangerines so far this season.
Blackpool boss Paul Ince has decided to extend Blackett's stay at Bloomfield Road due to the Manchester United loanee's recent displays.
Blackett was a regular member of Manchester United's Under-21 side last season and the beginning of the current campaign.
The former England Under-19 star, who is comfortable at playing at left-back or on the wing, will be desperate to get some games under his belt before returning to Old Trafford.
Blackett could even challenge for a regular first-team spot next season as first choice left-back Patrice Evra has already said he will not sign a new contract at the end of the season - when his current deal runs out.
