Arsenal's surprisingly robust Premier League title bid has shown no signs of slowing down of late, with the Gunners ruthlessly disposing of two newly-promoted sides to re-affirm their status as leaders this week.

Last Saturday, Welsh star Aaron Ramsey played a starring role on his return to his former home, scoring a goal in each half as Cardiff fell to an emphatic 3-0 defeat.

On Wednesday evening, it was Hull City's turn to be put to the sword. Despite their surprising triumph over Liverpool on Sunday, Steve Bruce's men were unable to stop the Arsenal juggernaut and succumbed to a 2-0 defeat courtesy of goals from controversial Dane Nicklas Bendtner and the irrepressible Mesut Ozil.

Next up for Arsene Wenger's men is a potentially tricky and testing encounter against Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Roberto Martinez's side are sure to provide a formidable test, buoyed as they will be following Costa Rican Bryan Oviedo's late goal that secured the Toffees a shock 1-0 win over former boss David Moyes and Manchester United in midweek.

In terms of team news, Lukas Podolski continues to step up his recovery after returning to training following a period on the sidelines with a painful hamstring problem but remains considerably short of match fitness.

Bacary Sagna is likely to remain out with a hamstring problem of his own, while Mathieu Flamini is seemingly available but has been struggling with a groin issue this week.

Midfielders Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and Abou Diaby remain unavailable for selection.

With that in mind, GMS predicts the following team to lineup on Sunday...

Arsenal predicted XI v Everton:

Szczesny; Gibbs, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Jenkinson; Ramsey, Arteta; Walcott, Ozil, Cazorla; Giroud.
