West Brom are in pole position to sign Manchester United's Wilfried Zaha in January, according to Goal.com.

The Red Devils starlet has struggled to settle into life at the Premier League champions and has failed to impress Manchester United boss David Moyes.

Zaha has played just two competitive games for Manchester United since completing his £17million move from Crystal Palace in the summer.

The 21-year-old made a cameo appearance for Moyes' side on Saturday - but failed to make any real impact in Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United.

Moyes has already admitted Zaha is likely to leave the club on loan when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Several Premier League sides are said to be interested in taking Zaha on loan - with West Brom, Stoke, Fulham, Newcastle, Swansea and Everton all battling to sign the England Under-21 star.

And it appears Steve Clarke's West Brom are currently leading the race to sign Zaha, as The Hawthorns is his preferred destination.
