Manchester United starlet Wilfried Zaha took to Twitter to dismiss speculation that dating the manager's daughter was the reason for his first team absence.
The youngster has been out of the fold under David Moyes, with speculation on various social media channels that a relationship with his child could be the reason.
However, Zaha denied such allegations, insisting he hadn't even met Moyes' daughter, let alone gone out with her.
"I've never dated or even met David Moye's Daughter so that isn't the reason for my absence in games," the 21-year-old Tweeted on Friday.
"I would like to stop all these false accusations .. I will play for Manchester United when my manager feels I'm ready."
Zaha, capped twice by England, signed for the Red Devils from Crystal Palace in January for £15 million, but remained at the south London club until the end of the season - helping the Eagles gain promotion to the Premier League.
He made his first league appearance for United against Newcastle yesterday (Saturday), having only played in the Community Shield win over Wigan Athletic and in a League Cup victory over Norwich City - fuelling speculation on social media that his omission from the team was linked with this relationship.
However, his comments nip the story in the bud, and the youngster is free to concentrate on his football and attempt to force his way into the side at Old Trafford on a more regular basis.
