Roberto Baggio

Baggio, or 'The Divine Ponytail', as he is known in his native Italy, was an exceptionally talented forward who excelled anywhere across the front-line.

During the late 1980’s and 1990’s defenders across Europe became familiar with his trademark hairstyle as he so often glided past them with his mix of pace, agility and expert dribbling.

The Italian won the UEFA Cup with Juventus in 1993 but left in the summer of 1995, missing out on the Turin outfit’s 1996 Champions League triumph.

Despite missing the vital penalty in the 1994 World Cup final, Baggio is adored in Italy and thought of by some as the countries greatest player.
