The eight best players to never win the Champions League (8)

Dennis Bergkamp

Dennis Bergkamp could do things with a football that most players could only dream of, while a compilation of his greatest goals could easily pass as a look at the very best goals of the decade.

A prolific goalscorer with Ajax in the early 1990’s, Bergkamp is best known for his time at Arsenal which culminated in defeat in the 2006-2006 Champions League final, in which he was an unused substitute.

The Dutchman won the UEFA Cup with both Ajax and Inter Milan but the Champions League eluded him.

Famously scared of flying, Bergkamp would have found a way of getting anywhere in the world to get his hands on ultimate prize in European football.
