Calvin Johnson displayed true commitment to the cause on Sunday as the Detroit Lions receiver took a face full of snow in the process of taking a catch from Matthew Stafford.
Philadelphia was hit by an almighty blizzard at the weekend, but that did not prevent the Eagles from hosting the Lions, with the players tasked with competing in snow verging on ankle deep.
It was an understandably slow starting encounter as the players tried their best to contend with the conditions and, with no points scored in the opening quarter, the main talking point was Johnson's comedy moment.
Johnson dived to latch onto a 33-yard pass from Stafford and crashed into the ground under pressure from the opposition. He became somewhat embedded in the freshly laid white blanket, before rising to his feet with the front of his helmet completely packed with snow.
To make matters even worse, Johnson's efforts came in a losing cause as the Lions fell to a 34-20 defeat, with the Eagles scoring 28 points in the fourth quarter.
