Long-term Manchester United target and Brazilian sensation Bruno Gomes has rejected the chance of joining the Red Devils.
The Daily Mail claims Gomes, who has visited the Premier League champions' AON Training Complex on a number of occasions over the last couple of seasons, has agreed terms with Internactional.
Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had reportedly secured a deal that would see the 17-year-old move to Old Trafford once he had turned 18.
However their first refusal option seems to have been ended as Gomes tweeted a picture of himself holding an Internacional shirt.
He wrote on his official Twitter account: "Thanks MUFC fans for all, but, now I’m Red from southern Brazil - Sport Club Internacional!!!"
Gomes has been tracked by a number of European sides after scoring over 100 goals in the last three years for Desportivo Brasil.
Manchester United were said to be favourites to sign the Brazilian wonderkid, however their hopes of signing Gomes have been dashed as the forward looks set to stay in South America.
