Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently criticised how the loan market worked in the Premier League last week, but he would have to objection to the kind of deal that saw his side’s bid to go seven points clear thwarted.

Everton’s impressive performance was salvaged in the 84th minute at Emirates Stadium by a young rising star out of the Barcelona academy.

Gerard Deulofeu cancelled out Mesut Özil’s opener, but Wenger’s problem lie with another in the Everton starting XI – Romelu Lukaku.

The Gunners boss has nothing against the loan market, but feels the Belgian should be allowed to play against parent side Chelsea as well as every other side.

His calls for change in the rule will likely go unheeded by the FA and Premier League (whichever one is running football at the moment), but they got GMS thinking.
