Spanish champions Barcelona could make a move to sign Manchester United hot-shot striker Robin van Persie, according to reports in Spain.
Catalan newspaper Sport claims the Catalan club have already made an enquiry about the striker and his availability.
According to the report, the Red Devils are said to be willing to listen to offers in the region of €45 million.
Van Persie is said to be unhappy at the Old Trafford, due to United's bad performances in the last few weeks and it's also reported that he even handed in a transfer request.
Yet manager David Moyes has stressed the reports about RVP's future as 'absolute nonsense' but it remains to be seen whether United will be able to keep hold of the forward if Barcelona actually make an offer.
Van Persie has continued with his fine form this season and has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 11 Premier League games so far.
If Van Persie really decides to move on from Manchester, then the Red Devils will have to do the best from this deal and they could ask Barcelona to send central midfielder Alex Song the other way.
If this swap deal goes through, Moyes will be able to pair Michael Carrick and Alex Song in the centre of the park, Shinji Kagawa will receive a starting place as an attacking midfielder and Wayne Rooney will play as a striker.
