We're coming towards the end of another classic year for football.

European fans have been treated to dazzling displays from some of the world's best players and seen Bayern Munich usurp Barcelona's crown as the strongest team on the continent.

We have also seen some players in the Premier League break away to become some of the most respected footballers in the league.

Daniel Sturridge has shrugged off years of neglect to become the worthy partner to Luis Suarez at Liverpool.

Meanwhile, we have seen Aaron Ramsey go from celebrity killing misfit to midfield goal machine for Arsenal.
