Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has warned Manchester City off the signing of Manuel Neuer, reports The Metro.

City have had difficulties in the goalkeeping area with Joe Hart struggling for form and having lost his place in the first team of late.

And it had been reported that the Citizens were willing to offer £40 million for Bayern keeper Neuer. However, ex-Barcelona coach Guardiola has insisted that his 'keeper won't be leaving for the Etihad.

When asked about the possibility of Neuer leaving for City, Guardiola said: "No chance."

Manchester City and Bayern go head-to-head in the Champions League tonight, with the Citizens still in with a chance of topping their European group. Neuer will be expected to start in Germany as the two qualified sides fight for victory at the Allianz Arena.

Ahead of the match, City boss Pellegrini has revealed that he still trusts Joe Hart, despite the England No.1 struggling for opportunities at Manchester City. However Hart could be set to start for City in Germany tonight.

On Hart's situation at the club, Pellegrini said: "For him, it’s a very important game and he must not think about the past, but think about the future.

"I’m absolutely sure and I trust in him."
