Tuesday night's excellent ITV documentary in which Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira discussed their rivalry was a reminder that these two players were fiercely committed competitors who always put in a shift every time they played.

They did it for badge on their shirts, their managers, their teammate, the supporters – and they did it for themselves, too.

But although the former Manchester United and Arsenal stars finished their compelling discussion wondering whether the game has gone soft, it must be remembered that Premier League workhorses do still exist.

These players are similar to Keane and Vieira in the respect that they always give their all on the pitch.

So, without further adieu, let's take a closer look at the top six Premier League machines playing today.
