Chelsea captain John Terry was found living the life of luxury this week... as he shopped on the cheap in PoundWorld.
The star, reported to be on £170,000 a week shocked supporters trawling through the aisles of the well known retail store, obviously feeling the financial effects of Christmas.
Fan Jack Jeffrey, who had his photo taken with the Chelsea defender told the London Metro: "My mate asked him if it was OK to have a picture. He was happy to let us.
‘It was weird just walking in there and seeing him. He had a lot of stuff in his basket but I didn’t really see what it was.
‘When I told my friends they were shocked and wished they had met him as well. He’s probably one of my favourite players."
The No.5 has appeared for the Blues 21 times this season at the heart of their defence, scoring two goals. And, Mourinho recently stated Terry could be Chelsea's Ryan Giggs.
"At this age, sometimes players reach a level of stability where they become the same," he added.
"I look at Zanetti in 2008 and Zanetti in 2012, and he was the same. These guys have to enjoy the moment and play with the same ambition."
Cheap retail stores can probably get used to his custom, with the retired England centre-half having the entire summer to put his feet up and watch his ex-teammates in action in Rio.
While families gather around their 40-inch Plasma televisions this summer, Terry will be trying hard to focus on his 20-inch T.V from the vantage point of his beanbag, if this evidence is anything to go by.
