Manchester United manager David Moyes traveled to Spain on Wednesday night to watch Atletico Madrid starlet Koke, amongst others, in action.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with the 21-year-old midfielder, who has become a key player of the current Atletico side under manager Diego Simeone, in recent months.
And Moyes was spotted in the VIP section of the Vicente Calderon, as in-form Atletico recorded a convincing 2-0 win over FC Porto - their fifth victory of the Champions League group stages.
Atletico's sporting director, Jose Luis Caminero, also confirmed that he had spoken to the Manchester United manager.
"I suppose he came to see us because Atletico are a Champions League team and because they also qualified for the last 16," the ex-Spain international told Canal Plus after the game. "We spoke, but he didn't tell me exactly why he had come ..."
Koke reportedly has a £17m release clause in his new contract, which he penned in the summer.
However, the Spain international appears to be happy playing as a first-team regular at Atletico, who currently sit joint-top of the Primera Liga table alongside Barcelona.
