Cristiano Ronaldo has heaped praise on the latest addition to Real Madrid's ‘Galacticos’, Gareth Bale, saying that he has made an ‘incredible’ start to life at the Bernabéu.
In fourteen games for Madrid Bale has scored nine goals and made six assists since his record breaking move from Spurs to Los Blancos.
When the welshman first signed for the Spanish giants there was a feeling that Ronaldo wouldn’t like it and get a bit territorial over his place in the side, but their relationship seems to have gone the opposite way as they have gelled together and clearly don’t have a bad word to say about each other.
Ronaldo has since raved about Bale in the press: "What he is doing is incredible," he told beIN Sport.
"He had a difficult start partly due to a small injury that he suffered.
"Also, he had great pressure on him but now he is in great form and we are all helping him.
"The fans love him now and he is a fantastic player who will help us to win trophies."
Ronaldo, who is everyone's first choice for the Ballon d’Or this year after a truly impeccable year, his most recent achievement was for the highest amount of goals scored by an individual player in the Champions League group stage.
Ronaldo has bagged 68 goals this calendar year and looks like he could surpass 70. With four time winner Lionel Messi on the sidelines at the moment, it seems the Portuguese talisman is bound to bag the ultimate prize.
The Real star also took the time to again stat his happines at penning a new deal with Madrid.
"This is my house, my home, I feel good. I love the fans, I love the staff and I have everything I need here," said the 28-year-old," Ronaldo said.
"That's why I signed a new contract. I don't know where I'll end my career but I am happy here for now."
