After a captivating few weeks of drama and unmissable action, Wednesday night marked the end of the group stages of the 2013/14 Champions League.

While it is of course the knockout rounds that traditionally provide the richest source of entertainment, the group stages of Europe's most-elite club competition have also boasted some truly unforgettable moments over the years - ranging from superb goals, shock upsets and dramatic plotlines.

This season, there were a few shocks in terms of the teams that progressed. Not necessarily on a grand scale, granted, but a few eyebrows must have been raised across the continent when it transpired that Galatasaray triumphed over Juventus to go through, Zenit qualified ahead of Porto and Olympiacos went on at the expense of Primeira Liga outfit Benfica.

With the group stage now complete and the draw for the first knockout phase to come on Monday, here GMS takes a look at the top 10 highest scoring teams in this year's tournament proper.
