Hull City boss Steve Bruce has made striker Georgios Samaras his top target as the January window approaches, according to the Daily Mail.
The Greek international has interested Bruce before, when he was Sunderland manager, and the 52-year-old is back in for Samaras, as he looks to shore up his squad for the coming months.
The Tigers sit in 12th position, and continue to be the talking point of English football due to their possible name change.
Samaras, 28, is out of contract in the summer so would command a cut-price fee, as Bruce looks to top-up his squad with two new strikers.
Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi is another striker Bruce is reportedly focusing on.
The Tigers manager has previously expressed his want for his strikers to be more clinical in front of goal:
"At this level if you don't take your chances it's tough," he said. "Last year it was our Achilles heel too...the number of times I sat here (with a 1-0) and we could have had two, three, four goals.
"It's got to be a concern because we created really good chances. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth."
Samaras has 45 goals in 183 appearances for Celtic spanning over five years, and Ameobi has 51 goals in 295 apps.
Both strikers aren't known for their goalscoring prowess, but Bruce is reportedly looking for players on the cheap.
With Hull looking to retain their Premier League status, Ameobi and Samaras may be all they can afford.
