Demetrious Johnson defends his UFC flyweight title for the the third time this weekend against the guy he beat to win it, Joseph Benavidez.

Their first meeting back at UFC 152, was a closely contested affair with Johnson victorious on points.

Since then Benavidez has been on a tear back to title contention, beating Ian McCall, Darren Uyenoyama and Jussier Formiga to regain his place as number one contender.

The Team Alpha male student has the benefit of coach Duane Ludwig in his corner, who has an impressive 13 wins and just 1 loss since becoming head trainer of the thriving camp.

Johnson defended his belt last time out against John Moraga, tapping him out with an impressive armbar submission.

Johnson has one of the best gas tank's in the sport without question, using it to full effect this in recent outings against John Dodson and in his first fight with Benavidez.

Prediction: Benavidez TKO Round 3

In the co-main event Urijah 'The California kid' Faber battles Michael 'Mayday' McDonald, with the winner expected to gain a shot against whoever emerges victorious in the highly anticipated unification bout between Renan Barao and Dominick Cruz.

Faber's last visit to the Octagon saw him pick up a unanimous decision victory over Yuri Alcantara, while McDonald dominated Brad Pickett before submitting him to a triangle choke in a balls-to-the-wall brawl in his most recent outing.

Prediction: Faber by decision

Chad Mendes also fights on the card against Nik Lentz, stepping up to the main card folllowing Matt Brown's late withdrawal from a potential welterweight war with Carlos Condit.

Mendes has been on a roll since losing to Jose Aldo. Lentz is 3-0 since he cut down to featherweight, but Mendes is in a different league to anyone he's fought in this division to date.

Mendes is one of the hottest fighters in MMA right now and Lentz has a huge task on his hands to derail that momentum.

A Mendes win will put him firmly in place for the winner of the Jose Aldo vs. Ricardo Lamas fight at UFC 169.

Prediction: Mendes TKO Round 2
