The San Diego Chargers did what no other team has this season on Thursday night; they beat the Denver Broncos at home with a scoreline of 27-20.
Visiting quarterback Philip Rivers was the stand out man on the night, throwing for two touchdowns and a total of 166 yards, propelling his team to a memorable win against their Colorado opponents.
The Broncos started off the brightest with Peyton Maning finding Andre Caldwell in the end zone to score with their first possession. But that wasn't to last long as the Chargers scored with their first possession too; a 38 yard-field goal from Nick Novak.
The Broncos replied with their own field goal courtesy of Matt Prater to extend their lead but that didn't last long as Keenan Allen was picked out by Rivers and leaped into the end zone to level it up.
Two more touchdowns from the Chargers sealed the Broncos fate with Denver only managing to break through their defence once in the second half. A field goal each rounded off the night and saw the Broncos lose at home for the first time this season.
They now look to their game against the Houston Texans to get back to winning ways.
