Galaxy XI - the ultimate advertising football team (1)

Published 4 Comments

Today, Samsung announced via a video posted to their Youtube account that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was the latest player to be selected for their 'Galaxy XI' - a team of top footballers assembled with the intention of saving the earth from the challenge posed by invading aliens.

Such a threat does not really exist, though, rather the whole thing is a quite masterful and ludicrously lavish marketing campaign from the company.

However, it is nevertheless very intriguing indeed to see who has made the team - and, perhaps even more interestingly, the top-class players that have not been chosen.

Here, GMS looks at the Galaxy XI that has been selected to save the planet from the evil alien threat and the special attributes they have been given.

Details concerning selections are obviously kept well under wraps, so it is difficult to know if this is the final list or if there are more names to come.

With the current number totalling 13, it would suggest that there could well be one or two more announcements to come, however others seem to be of the opinion that this is indeed it.

Which players do you think deserve to be made part of such a team? Are there any players who you feel should be included that aren't?

Will the aliens stand a chance against this lot?
