The Chicago Bulls have signed free agent D.J. Augustin, NBA.com have confirmed.
The 26-year-old, who has played for the Charlotte Bobcats, the Indiana Pacers and the Toronto Raptors in the past, has revealed he cannot wait to make his Bulls debut.
Augustin had his contract waived by the Raptors at the beginning of the month but hasn't had to wait long to find a new franchise.
Several clubs were interested in signing the point guard, however the Bulls won the race as Augustin thought they offered him the perfect opportunity to do what he does best.
Augustin, speaking to the Bulls' official website, said on his move: "They’ve got a great group of players, guys who can score in the post or from the outside.
"I always hated playing against the Bulls, so it will be fun to play with them.”
Augustin will wear the No. 14 jersey during the remainder of the current season.
The 6ft veteran guard could make his Bulls debut on Friday night when the Bulls face the Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Bulls are currently third in the Central division - having won eight of their first 20 games.
