Manchester United to recall high-flying starlet from loan

Manchester United boss David Moyes could be set to recall starlet Nick Powell from his loan spell at Wigan, according to the Mirror.

Powell initially impressed under Owen Coyle in the Championship before continuing to play well following his dismissal- he has now scored seven goals in 17 appearances in all competitions.

And his performances have enthralled personnel at Old Trafford to the point where they want to see him hasten his development so that he can move into the United first-team before too long.

If reports are to be believed then Moyes wants to recall Powell so that he can re-send him out to another Premier League side. The Scot believes that the 19-year-old would benefit from facing sterner tests each week against more elite competition and so is ready to bring him back to the reigning English champions in January.

West Ham, Crystal Palace and Stoke are the sides believed to be following the youngster, who was bought from Crewe Alexandra by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012.
