Manchester City and Liverpool were the big winners in the Premier League this weekend, as Manuel Pellegrini's side saw off leaders Arsenal with an emphatic 6-3 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The following day Brendan Rodgers's men travelled to White Hart Lane, where they thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 5-0, to move within two points of the summit.
They are joined by Chelsea, after they managed to squeeze past a rejuvenated Crystal Palace, securing three points after a hard-fought 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United also got back to winning ways with a 3-0 away win against Aston Villa, while Everton recorded a 4-1 victory over Fulham at Goodison Park.
Newcastle and Southampton played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at St James' Park, while Cardiff City claimed three more points following a 1-0 win against West Brom.
There were no goals at either Upton Park or the KC Stadium as both West Ham and Sunderland, and Hull City and Stoke City could not be separated, while on Sunday Norwich and Swansea each took a share of the spoils after 1-1 draw at Carrow Road.
