Boston Celtics guard Jordan Crawford has reportedly been placed on a shortlist of potential trade targets by the Miami Heat, as they bid to keep Dwayne Wade's workload light so he is fresh come playoff time.
Crawford has found a rich vein of form in the last month, including picking up Eastern Conference Player of the Week with as Boston recorded the only 3-0 record in the east last week.
The 25-year-old has only been with Boston since February but Miami are one of a string of top sides all hoping to persuade the Celtics to do business in a trade deal, according to the New York Daily News.
Miami are thought to want a young wide player to keep the pressure off Wade from backcourt, wary of his persistent struggles with niggling knee injuries in recent years.
Crawford has averaged 13.7 points so far this season, while chipping in with 5.5 assists and shooting 44.5% from the field.
Despite holding a losing 11-14 record Boston are currently fourth seed in the Eastern Conference following a 90-86 win over the New York Knicks on Friday night, a game which saw Crawford score just two points and go 0-8 from the field in 31 minutes.
