WWE TLC live from Houston Texas began with the live kick off show.

Dolph Ziggler v Fandango

A match that wasn’t really for anything. Again Dolph was relegated to Youtube and gave a good showing for himself but after going for a suplex off the top rope, Summer Rae provided the distraction and allowed Fandango to knock Ziggler off and hit his leg drop for the win.

The Miz was on the kick off panel and seemed to be trying to annoy Kofi by bringing him into most discussions, until Kofi came from the crowd and slapped The Miz and the two had a face off.

TLC

The live show kicked off with The Authority at the top of the ramp announcing that history would be made tonight with one of the most important matches in the history of wrestling. The WWE Champion v The World Champion.

Triple H went through the history of both titles with the crowd chanting “what” but cheering when Steve Austin was mentioned.

CM Punk v The Shield

The first match of the night was the first of two 3 on 1 handicap matches tonight, and saw CM Punk facing the hounds of justice.

Dean Ambrose started the match up attempting to drag Punk into The Shield’s corner but The Best in the World fought out and Roman Reigns was tagged in and the numbers game and strength advantage ran its course with The Shield finally taking the upper hand.

The quick tags in and out helped The Shield to continue their onslaught and CM Punk looked like he had no answer in what was seemingly a punishment match.

Roman was seemingly put out of the match when he went for a spear on the outside but he missed Punk and flew over the announce table, the big man managed to stumble back into the ring but Punk maintained the upper-hand until he was knocked to the outside and Reigns made the tag out to Seth Rollins.

The Shield looked like they were falling apart when Roman was out injured, Seth knocked Dean off the apron and Punk hit a high kick but Seth kicked out at two.

Punk locked in the Anaconda Vice but the submission was broken up by Ambrose who then tagged in. Seth tried to help Dean and was GTS’d and Roman ran in to help but inadvertently hit Dean with a spear. Punk took advantage and pinned Ambrose for the win.

BACKSTAGE: AJ Lee was with Renee Young who asked if Natalya had AJ’s number and AJ went off on a rant about how much she matters, and how much the WWE is a joke and after tonight she will be the only one laughing.

AJ Lee v Natalya (Divas Champion)

Natalya was given her first Pay-Per-View title shot in three years against the unhinged AJ Lee. The Champion tried to run and use Tamina as a distraction but Natalya had it well scouted.

Natalya locked in the Sharpe-shooter on the champion and AJ found a reversal and after the distraction AJ locked in the Black Widow and Natty was the first person to find a way out of the submission manoeuvre, Natalya then hit a thunderous clothesline and again went for the Sharpe-shooter but AJ grabbed a handful of Natalya’s hair for the quick pin win.

Big E Langston v Damien Sandow (Intercontinental Championship)

Big E Langston was making his second defence of the title since he won it last month at Raw country. Sandow resorted to his heel tactics in the opening exchanges using the ring post to his advantage but Langston powered out of the pin attempt.

Big E did find a momentum switch after he delivered the electric chair to Sandow followed by a few clotheslines and a splash but the intellectual saviour kicked out at two. Langston followed up with the Big Ending for the win.

BACKSTAGE: Randy Orton shook hands with Vince McMahon.

The Kick off panel announced that following their confrontation earlier in the night The Miz and Kofi would now go one on one in a no DQ match later tonight.

The Real Americans v The Big Show and Rey Mysterio v Cody Rhodes and Goldust v Rybaxel (Tag team championship)

The fatal four way elimination match for the tag team title kicked off with Ryback against Cody Rhodes. The bigger man easily took the advantage and Cody Rhodes tagged in Goldust and Ryback tagged out to Axel.

Ryback and Axel were eliminated when Goldust easily rolled Ryback into the cradle.

The Real Americans were finally tagged in and took full control of Goldust but couldn’t get the pin on one half of the champions. Goldust finally got the tag out to Big Show, and he knock out punched both Swagger and Cesaro to eliminate them.

Big Show and Goldust started the match again and the smaller man was thrown to the outside but managed to recover and DDT Big Show.

Show tagged out to Rey and the pace quickened, Rey went for the 619 on Goldust and Big Show took him to the outside and Cody hit Big Show off the ring post.

Rey and Cody where the only two left and Rey went for the 619, Rhodes countered and managed to hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

After the match Rey fell to the mat and had to be helped to the back by Big Show.

BACKSTAGE: The Prime Time Players were talking about The Rock before they were interrupted by Khali and his Sheamus toy and Los Matadores with their Brodus Clay toy, Vickie and Brad then interrupted and had their own brawling buddies match. Kane’s music hit and everyone ran away to leave Kane holding the Brodus Clay toy.

Brodus Clay v R-Truth

A rivalry that stems back a number of weeks since Xavier Woods borrowed the Funkadactyls and Brodus Clay got jealous.

R-Truth had the momentum in the opening stages and took the big man to the outside but Clay knocked Truth off the top rope to switch before hitting a splash from the middle rope.

Truth was never really in the match up and Clay continued the beat down without pinning Truth and Clays tag partner Tensai took exception to this and confronted Clay but he continued to beat R-truth.

Tensai then left ringside followed by the Funkadactyles and R-truth got the roll-up win off the distraction.

BACKSTAGE: John Cena shook hands with Vince McMahon.

Kofi Kingston v The Miz (NO-DQ)

The fight between these two started earlier tonight on the kick off show and boiled over to the outside early in the match and Kofi tried trouble in Paradise to the Miz but he moved and Kofi hit the post.

Miz then took all off his offence onto the injured leg of Kingston. He then exposed the turnbuckle but Kofi switched the momentum and hit a kick to Miz after he jumped from the top rope, all the time the crowd were chanting “Bring” and “We want tables.” Kofi then used the exposed turnbuckle and got the roll up win.

Daniel Bryan v The Wyatt family

The second of tonight’s 3 on 1 handicap matches pitted Daniel Bryan against all three members of The Wyatt family.

The Wyatts made good use of the extra man whilst Bray watched from his rocking chair at ring side, Luke and Eric had Bryan beaten before Bray came into the match up and started yelling ay Bryan that he could have helped him.

Bray pulled off his exorcist type move to the chants of “that was creepy.” Bray offered his hand to Bryan again and again Bryan refused and accepted a clothesline.

Bryan found an opening knocking both Rowan and Bray off the apron before hitting a suplex from the top rope to Harper and delivering the flying headbutt but Rowan broke up the three count.

Bryan trapped Rowan in the ropes and unleashed the kicks then cleared the ring throwing Harper over the announce table and Rowan into the steel steps before trying to lock in the Yes lock on Bray but the eldest brother hit sister Abigail for the win.

After the match Bray hugged Bryan and posed with him before the black out.

John Cena v Randy Orton (Unified Championship match) (Tables Ladders and Chairs)
The history making match got underway with the tables and ladders being utilised and Orton got the first hit in with a steel chair to the ribs of Cena.

But Orton went for the chair round the ring post and Cena moved, Cena then hit Randy with a few chair shots of his own.

Chants of “let’s go Cena, Cena sucks” echoed around the arena as Orton climbed the ladder but Cena knocked the Viper down before he could reach the titles.

The match was back and forth throughout with both men taking advantage of the TLC rules. Cena hit Orton with a ladder on the apron and he fell through a table, Cena thought it was his to win but Orton was back in the ring and hit the RKO on Cena to leave both men on the mat.
Cena then used the steel steps to his advantage outside the ring, busting Randy wide open, Cena then set up a table in the ring and went out to grab Orton but The Viper hit Cena with a microphone and continued to beat him with it.

The Spanish announcer’s desk welcomed Randy Orton after Cena hit the AA to The Viper. Cena then climbed the ladder and grabbed the titles but Randy moved the ladder and left Cena swinging and then beat the World Champion with a chair.

John responded with a spear through a table, but Orton crawled over and found a pair of handcuffs and cuffed Cena to the bottom rope, before throwing the key onto the crowd. Orton then went out to find a ladder.

Cena then undid the rope and took it with him and hit Orton with the turnbuckle, before Orton jumped back up and pulled Cena down and through a table before unhooking the two titles.

Randy Orton is the first ever Unified WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Vince McMahon then approached the ring with Stephanie and Triple H, all were clapping for the new champion.
John Cena could only watch from ringside as all three then celebrated with the new champion as TLC went off the air.
