Rudy Gay is a great fit for Sactown. Gay took the court for his first home game as a Sacramento King and the fans loved him. Why wouldn't they? He netted 26 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals.

When the Sacramento Kings acquired Rudy Gay through a seven-player trade, people thought that Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri was a mastermind for being able to release Rudy Gay's 17 million dollar contract.

Gay was only shooting 19 points a game on 38% shooting. Stats like those put Gay in a lot of overrated and overpaid conversations.

The Kings were willing to take a risk and even though it's only been two games, the risk is paying off. Gay averages 25 points as a King and led Sacramento to a great win against conference foes, the Houston Rockets.

Gay is also proving to be good with his teammates, assisting four times and only had 20 shot attempts in 40 minutes. He has shown significant improvement in shot selection.

If Gay can continue developing his maturity at a high rate he could be an integral part in Sacramento's road to the playoffs.

With heaps of young talent, the Kings have a bright future. If Gay can be a motivational leader for DeMarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas and Derrick Williams the Kings will be a difficult team to beat.
