Premier League: Top 8 greatest comebacks (4)

Petr Cech

Arguably the greatest comeback in Premier League history, Cech suffered a serious head injury during a collision with Irish winger Steven Hunt during a Premier League clash between Chelsea and Reading at the Madejski Stadium back in 2006.

After Hunt's knee had made contact, Cech suffered a depressed skull fracture and underwent surgery.

Incredibly, the Czech Republic stalwart returned to action in January 2007, now sporting protective headwear that he continues to wear to this day.

Not only did Cech comeback from such a career and indeed even life-threatening injury, he came back and firmly re-established his status as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
