LeBron James and Kobe Bryant rank amongst the most retweeted sports stars of 2013, according to social media site Twitter.
Heat forward James, Knicks guard J.R. Smith and Lakers legend Kobe Bryant- who has only recently returned from a crippling injury- all made their way onto Twitter’s top 10 “retweeted sports tweets” list for this year.
It was 'King James' who claimed the top spot from the NBA inclusions, as his famous February tweet: "I’m not MJ, I’m LJ,” was retweeted by more than 76,000 other people.
Smith then followed his Heat rival when he replied to a then-Nets forward Kris Humphries Twitter post which read: “Big game tonight! The Garden got really quiet on the way out.”
The Knicks star replied with: "“Wasn’t quiet when Kanye tore it down last month!” Of course referencing to the relationship break down between Humphries and Kim Kardashian, who is now engaged to Kanye West. That particularly quip garnered more than 62,000 retweets.
And it was NBA icon Bryant who completed the round-up, with two of his tweets making it into the selection.
"The antisocial has become social #mambatweets” got Bryant more than 50,000 retweets, whereas “Amnesty THAT,” amassed 54,000.
