Manchester United manager David Moyes still wants to bring Luka Modric to the club, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims the Croatian playmaker is one of a number of players who the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on ahead of the January transfer window.
Modric was linked with a return to the Premier League in the summer transfer window, but snubbed a switch to Old Trafford to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, first team opportunities remain limited at Los Blancos, as the 28-year-old battles a plethora of stars for an opportunity in Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
It’s a different situation at Manchester United however, as Moyes looks to find some midfield creativity at the home of the champions.
The Scot struggled to make his mark after replacing Sir Alex Ferguson at the Old Trafford helm in the summer, missing out on a number of high-profile targets before landing Marouane Fellaini.
He’s looking to make amends in the New Year however, and Modric is one of the players who could bolster the Manchester United ranks.
