Back-up left-back: Leighton Baines
Baines has been a top, top player over his professional career for both Wigan and Everton, and now England.
He has 22 caps for England scoring one goal against Moldova in the process.
Baines likes to play a very attacking game, which England will need in the latter stages of their group if they are up against it and need goals. Baines will probably play against Costa Rica and could feature against Uruguay.
Baines is brilliant at the attacking side of being a LB and is superb at the set-piece scoring memorable free-kicks against Newcastle and many others.
He has faced competition from up and comers such as Gibbs and Shaw but Baines is the best out of them. Baines is part of a very good Everton team too. He is injured at the moment but the rest could be good for his fitness in a way, a way that he can come back fresh to the team and play some of his best football.
Baines for me, will be Cole's understudy at Brazil but Baines should easily be England's number one LB by 2016 for the next Euros given Cole will be nearly 35 by then.
