Jose Mourinho lets Lukaku leave on loan

Football News

Recently, Jose Mourinho bemoaned the fact that his strikers have not been more prolific. If Torres and co had made it to double figures then Mourinho argued his side would be top.

This might well be true. The question it raises then is why did Mourinho allow Romelu Lukaku to go to Goodison Park on loan where he has scored eight in 12?

He may be a raw talent but it would be a rare observer that wouldn't take him over a 33 year old Samuel Eto'o, an unimpressive Demba Ba or a hit and miss Fernando Torres.

Recent hints in the media have suggested that Lukaku asked to leave after not feeling wanted at Stamford Bridge. If this is the case than Mourinho was foolish to firstly accede to his request and secondly to allow the situation to arise where Lukaku made such a request anyway.
