Raw, live from Dallas Texas, kicked off with all the WWE locker room out at the top of the ramp, watching The Authority who were in the ring. Stephanie told everyone how historic this episode of Raw is and Triple H called it the dawning of a new era.

Randy Orton was then introduced as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he then entered and lifted his two newly won titles, never taking his eyes of John Cena. The Viper then climbed into the ring and told the fans that they never had faith in him and that they brought into the lie that he had been handed everything in his career.

The Apex Predator then talked about how much better than all former champions and the whole of the current roster before John Cena told him he was an idiot and then congratulated him on the win. The former champion then told Randy that he had talked enough and he should either put up or shut up and face Daniel Bryan tonight for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Randy then informed John that he didn’t have to listen to anyone, Stephanie interrupted to tell him he had to listen to The Authority and that he would be facing Daniel Bryan tonight in the main event.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust v Rey Mysterio and Big Show

After the finish to their fatal four way tag team elimination match last night, the WWE universe voted that the final two teams should face off again tonight.

The match began with Rey and Cody shaking hands before the king of mystery took the upper hand with his unique form of offense. Cody hit the disaster kick for the two count before tagging in Goldust and Rey tagged in Big Show.

Raw returned from commercial with Big Show using the strength advantage against Cody, keeping him away from Goldust and wearing him down for a few minutes before he finally crawled over and made the tag to Goldust.

Big Show hit the choke slam on Goldust but Cody interrupted the three count, Big Show dumped Cody out of the ring before hitting the knockout punch to Goldust and tagging in Rey to hit the splash from the shoulders of Big Show.

After the match Big Show and Rey helped Goldust to his feet.

Bad news Barrett was out again to pander to the crowd about money.

BACKSTAGE: Randy Orton interrupted Kane, Triple H and Stephanie, to ask what they were playing at putting him in a match just 24 hours after his TLC match for the title but Triple H told him he had his back.

Fandango v Dolph Ziggler

A rematch from last night’s TLC kick off show where Fandango got the win thanks to Summer Rae’s distraction.

Fandango went for it from the outset and took Dolph to the outside. The show-off never really got into the match but did manage to pick up the win with a quick roll up.

The Real Americans v Big E Langston and Mark Henry

After they failed to win the tag titles at last night’s TLC The Real Americans were back in action against Intercontinental Champion Langston who retained his title last night against Damien Sandow and Mark Henry.

Jack Swagger and Big E started things out and the big men gained the upper hand and retained it throughout. The quick tags allowed them to stay on top and isolate Jack Swagger in the corner.

Swagger did finally get the tag out to Cesaro who took it to Mark Henry. Before the Real Americans used the quick tags to their advantage but Langston was throwing Cesaro around like a rag doll.

When Raw returned from commercial the Americans had the upper hand over Langston trying to prevent him from tagging in his partner but Langston finally out muscled Cesaro and tagged in Henry who switched the momentum and as Cesaro went to hit the Cesaro swing on Henry Big E interrupted and hit the Big Ending for the win.

BACKSTAGE: Damien Sandow was dressed up as Santa and had a little girl on his knee he then told her that Christmas is cancelled.

Rybaxel v Tons of Funk

Last night Tensai and the Funkadactyles left ringside after Brodus refused to cover R-Truth and the distraction cost Brodus the win.

Xavier Woods and R-truth were on commentary and saw Ryback and Curtis take the upper hand, Tensai really needed the tag but when he went for it Brodus moved away from the ropes and left his partner to receive a shell shock from Ryback.

After the match Brodus climbed into the ring and hit the splash on Tensai twice before R-Truth and Xavier ran in to make the save and hit the double drop kick on Brodus.

R-Truth and Xavier then invited the Funkadactyles in the ring to dance with them which they duly obliged.

CM Punk came to the ring to talk about the fact that he beat them last night at TLC in a 3 on 1 handicap match and talked about the fact that he punched Triple H last week and then called out the COO.

HBK made a surprise entrance instead and told Punk that he understands that he doesn’t like Hunter but he needs to get over it, after all Shawn was the one who super kicked him, Punk said he would overlook it because of how much respect he has for him but if he ever kicks him again he will kick him back. Shawn then introduced The Shield and left and it was announced that The Usos were CM Punks partners.

CM Punk and The Usos v The Shield

There were rumours flying around last night that The Shield were on the verge of splitting after Roman inadvertently speared Dean and cost them the match, so this match should show if The Shield could still co-exist.

Dean Ambrose and Jimmy Uso started things out but Seth Rollin was tagged in and The Usos and Punk took the upper hand.

Raw returned and Seth was all over Jay Uso but one wrong move allowed Jay to make the tag to Jimmy. Roman Reigns sporting a black eye after his altercation with Michael Coles chair last night, caused the distraction that allowed Seth to tag in Dean.

The Shield used the quick tags to isolate Jimmy Uso. Seth then went for a super- plex but Jimmy fought out and hit the splash but Seth tagged in Roman.

Jimmy hit a spin kick on the big man and managed to tag in The Best in the world, the pace quickened and Punk took on both Dean and Seth and hit the double neck breaker.

The Usos then fought Roman and Seth on the outside and the two legal men Ambrose and Punk were left in the ring, Punk hit the elbow but Dean kicked out at two. CM Punk went for the GTS but Roman interrupted and tagged in, Punk kicked him and hit the GTS on Dean but Roman was the legal man and he speared Punk for the win.

The GTS had left Ambrose with a nice cut on his forehead, he was helped up by Seth and Roman after the match and they looked like they were all back on the same page.
BACKSTAGE: Bray Wyatt cut a promo about Daniel Bryan being a liar and a coward after his loss last night, and “if Daniel Bryan refuses to walk with the reapers then he will burn with the saints.”

The Bella Twins and Natalya v Alicia Fox, Tamina Snuka and AJ Lee

AJ retained her Divas title against Natalya last night at TLC and Natalya said that the rivalry wasn’t over, so this was her chance to get revenge.

Alicia and Natalya started things out with Brie tagging in but Alicia pulled Brie off the second rope for a two count.

Tamina was then tagged in and Brie tried to combat her strength with a roll up but only got the two count. Tamina hit the Samoan drop then tagged in the divas champion and Nikki was also tagged in, Nikki cleared the ring and went for the neck breaker on AJ but Tamina was back in and hit a super kick before AJ hit the shining wizard for the win.

Nikki was holding her face after the match and looked legit injured.

BACKSTAGE: Mark Henry was playing good Santa with the Bellas and told a kid that Christmas wasn’t cancelled and he was the good Santa.

BACKSTAGE: Randy Orton was with Renee Young and she tried to congratulate him but he said he was sick of being congratulated and now he was being congratulated by having to face an undeserved troll. He then said that what’s best for business is if every member of the WWE universe kisses his ass.

Daniel Bryan v Randy Orton

A match that Randy was forced into tonight, and the champion did not look happy to be involved in it.

The crowd were well and truly behind Daniel Bryan and he fed off them throughout, Randy went for his heel tactics from the outset, pulling Bryans hair, Bryan locked Orton into a submission move but Randy found a way out before Bryan pulled him into the ring post.
The Viper fought back and the match was back and forth for a while until Bryan got the kick to the mid-section and locked in another submission with Orton biting Bryan’s knee to break the hold.

Orton’s plaster on his head fell off and blood trickled down his face as Bryan then decided to bite Randy on the top of the head. The fight then went to the outside after Orton side stepped Bryan's dive, and Randy dropped Bryan onto the barricade.

Daniel then managed to find and opening and the momentum switched, with Bryan landed kicks the kicks to Orton, but after he missed a flying boot Orton tried to get the roll up but Bryan locked in the yes lock and Randy crawled to the bottom rope and broke the hold.
Bryan then hit the missile drop kick followed by his usual others and Randy hit a low blow for the DQ.

John Cena made the save and dumped Randy out the ring but when his back was turned Randy ran in and RKO’d him.

Randy then raised both the titles as Raw ended.

The WWE World Heavyweight title looks like it could be defended in a triple threat match at The Royal Rumble, Shawn Michaels could be making a return and The Shield are together and look to be as strong as ever. A disappointing episode of Raw but one that could begin the Rumble rumours.
