It is not rare to see Brazilian players emerge to the football world every year. Bernard, Neymar, Lucas and Oscar were once young prospects as well. Nowadays they are showing their potentials to the world.
In 2013 some young player shined in Brazil. This is a list of five new players that could be the next target for European clubs:
Rodrigo Caio - Centre-back/Defensive Midfielder (20-years-old)
Rodrigo Caio is a versatile player. He plays for São Paulo FC and has been in incredible form this season. Not only is he a great passer, but also at defending. The youngster started his career as a midfielder, but with time he found his best position as a full-back. His main attributes are heading and interception. He looks like a young Thiago Silva, a very technical player.
Alex Telles - Left-back (21-years-old)
This is the typical Brazilian left-back. Very fast, offensive and with a powerful left leg. He made an impact this year with his ability and intelligence. However, he has still a lot to learn when it comes to defensive positioning. A risky shot, but a very good promise for the future.
Lucas Silva - Cental Midfielder (20-years-old)
He has been labelled the "new Juninho Pernambucano". The tireless midfielder has shown his potential. Unquestionably one of the most promising players in this new generation. Like Juninho, he can pass and shoot perfectly. He is also a strong player, good defender, and knows how to change the game's pace. Playing for Cruzeiro, he was essential in their run to win the Brazilian Championship.
Everton Ribeiro - Attacking Midfielder (24-years-old)
Although he is no longer a youngster, Everton Ribeiro showed this year all he can deliver. With a huge repertoire of dribbles, great goals and decisive passes he conquered his space in Cruzeiro and in Brazilian football this year. Not only is he a intelligent player, but also really fast and skillfull. Some clubs have shown interest in the player's services, such as Manchester United. If this really happens, it would be a terrific deal.
Marcelo - Forward (21-years-old)
Marcelo is a classy player. Seldom have I seen a striker as him, lethal in front of the goalkeeper. Strong but also fast. The youngster wowed Brazilian media with his appearences for Atlético Paranaense this year. Lots of clubs are fighting for the player, including Internazionale. However, he has already a release clause of 12 million euros, scaring some Brazilian clubs that looked for the player.
