This week's draw for the Champions League knockout stages threw up a fairytale return for Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, who will be back at Stamford Bridge next year with Galatasaray for the second leg of a last 16 tie.

Drogba's return to West London is sure to produce quite an atmosphere at the Bridge, for a striker who terrorised defences in the Premier League and beyond during eight stellar seasons at Chelsea.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho is far from alone though in preparing to take on a friend with fans in the home end, a tradition becoming more commonplace at the top of the game, with players rarely staying with one club for their whole career even if they are a runaway success.
