Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is expected to return to action against the Seattle Seahawks this weekend.
The veteran took a massive hit whilst attempting to recover an onside kick against the Tennessee Titans last week, and didn’t feature in overtime during the crucial victory.
Despite suffering a concussion, coach Bruce Arians told a radio show that he believes the 30-year-old will make the trip to CenturyLink Field, as the Cardinals fight for a place in the offseason.
The Seahawks lead the NFC West at 12-2, with the San Francisco 49ers two games back. The Cardinals, at 9-5, will need to win out to stand a chance of claiming a wildcard spot.
Having Fitzgerald in the line-up gives them a chance, however slim, on their travels. He will have to pass league-mandated tests first however, and must be cleared by an independent neurologist.
He has 73 receptions for 823 yards, with 10 touchdowns thrown in for good measure so far this season.
