The Baltimore Orioles have completed a deal to sign Grant Balfour, reports CBSSports

Balfour's two-year deal, which is pending a physical, is worth $14 million as they 35-year-old leaves Oakland Athletics behind.

This deal now means the Orioles and Athletics have in-fact swapped closers in the offseason after Jim Johnson had previously switched to Oakland.

Balfour has had a fine past couple of seasons having made 62 saves and he will now hope to take his form into his new challenge with the Orioles.

With stars such as Tommy Hunter, Darren O'Day and Brian Matusz all in front of Balfour, he is now expected to become the Orioles closer for the upcoming season.

And with earnings of $7 million a season for the next two years, he will hope to show his class for the Orioles.

Balfour will now look to get himself ready for the new season as the Orioles target success in 2014.
