The bench was ready, the crowd was ready and Andre Iguodala was ready.

Unfortunately, the Golden State Warriors swingman couldn't make the big dunk. Iguodala pulled off a series of amazing dribble moves in his return game against the New Orleans Pelicans including two under the legs and then found an open lane to the hoop.

He jumped up, ready to slam it home, but was met by Jason Smith at the rim who got a finger on the ball.

Kent Bazemore jumped with Iguodala for a premature celebration but was also rejected by Smith's block.

Could you imagine if he had made the dunk? The Oracle Arena would have been turned sideways.

Iguodala couldn't make the dunk but was able to show some SICK handles during the build-up.

Check the video above - with thanks to the NBA.
