Arsenal spread the festive cheer this week enjoying their Christmas party as they celebrated their brilliant first half of the season in fancy dress style, according to the Daily Mail.

The celebrations were held just as rivals Tottenham Hotspur were getting knocked out of the Capital One Cup by West Ham, which would've only brightened the atmosphere amongst the camp.

Wojciech Szczesny was eager to inform everyone of their fun, posting videos on his Facebook channel.

Szczesny went on the party bus dressed as Robocop, Santi Cazorla went as Super Mario and Lukas Podolski went as The Hulk... the T.V character, not the Brazilian striker.

Emmanuel Frimpong went as Mr T, with Per Mertesacker keeping as in character as possible in the wild ways of the Gunners squad, going as Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Ryo Miyaichi pulled off the Fred Flinstone look, while full-back Nacho Monreal dressed as a Ninja Turtle.

England international Jack Wilshere had the Batman look going on, and Lukasz Fabianski went for Robin.... not Robin Van Persie.

The mood at the Emirates Stadium is evidently high despite the 6-3 loss to Manchester City at the weekend, cutting the gap at the top to two points.

Arsenal's festivities come a few days after David Moyes scrapped Manchester United's annual Christmas panto, instead opting for a serious speech to crown off the bad start to the season.
