The bout is expected to take place on April 14 which means that any potential fight with Floyd Mayweather will not take place until the Autumn.
A possible fight with Danny Garcia seems to be the favourite after Adrian Broner lost on points to Marcos Maidana.
Following two successive losses Pacquiao got back to winning ways against Brandon Rios with a unanimous points decision in China.
Pacquiao however may not be the same draw that he once was with only 470,000 people purchasing the fight on HBO.
That is Pacquiao's lowest Pay Per View figures since his bout with David Diaz in 2008.
This is worrying for Pacquiao.
Following his recent win, the fighter from the Philippines was found guilty of not paying two billion in taxes between 2008-2009, which will have to be repaid.

Mayweather is tempting the Filipino into the ring suggesting that the Pacman is not on his level.
With Pacquiao's current financial situation, this could be the only way the two will share the same ring.
