D-Day has arrived in Texas as the Houston Rockets are running out of time on their own self-imposed deadline to offload Omer Asik.

According to ESPN, the Rockets are considering an offer from the Boston Celtics that would include forward Brandon Bass and guard Courtney Lee moving the other way.

Boston are also considering giving the Rockets a projected first round pick to sweeten the deal.

But it is not just Boston that could be Asik's next destination as the Rockets are trying to lure veteran center Spencer Hawes away from Philadelphia - with Asik going the other way.

Houston have reportedly refused to accept numerous transfer requests from Asik in the past in the hope that him and Dwight Howard could play on the same court, however for a variety of reason this has failed.

Also a mixture of injury and frustration about not being the starter has also kept Asik out of the Rockets starting line up this term.
