Chicago Bulls make a U-turn over British star's future

The Chicago Bulls are keen on keeping small forward Luol Deng at the United Center, according to ESPN.

Reports had suggested the Bulls were keen on trading Deng - but it seems like they have changed tact and are now keen on keeping hold of the British basketball star.

Deng admitted earlier this week that he thought the Bulls were looking to trade the 28-year-old.

Several teams were said to have enquired about the services of Deng - but have failed to convince the Bulls into trading the 28-year-old.

Deng, who is the third highest paid star at the Chicago Bulls, has been plying his trade at the United Center for the past nine years.

The Bulls are confident Deng will sign a new deal before his current contract runs out next summer.

Deng's Bulls are currently second from bottom in the Eastern Conference's Central Division, having won just nine of their first 25 games.
