What happens when a NBA star collides with a referee?

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Reggie Jackson and Chicago Bulls opponent DJ Augustin were going full throttle during last night's game - with the referee a victim.

Official Michael Smith was left in a crumpled heap after Jackson and Augustin crashed into him during the Bulls-Thunder game.

The Thunder comfortably won the encounter 107-95 with Kevin Durant top scoring with 32 points on the night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

It was a game of few incidents, after from this one of course, which saw the two players race back to compete for a loose ball only to collide with the referee, sending him sprawling to the floor.

Poor Mr Smith, athletes have got seriously injured on the court doing less. Lets hope he's alright.
